Cafu Source Code
Cafu is available to everyone as 100% free software under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPLv3).
There are several ways you can get the Cafu source code: The latest and greatest Cafu version is the one that's in our Subversion repository, which can also be used via Git. Alternatively, the repository contents can be downloaded as compressed archives:
The contents of the archives is identical (inclusive end-of-line style), but Linux users should still get the tar archive as it properly sets the executable flags that are required for the build scripts.

Cafu Binary Releases
The Cafu binary releases are ready-to-use “demo” packages for the appropriate platforms.
Development Releases
The latest Cafu development binary releases are available here:
If a recent 64-bit Windows release is not available, you can use the newer 32-bit edition as well. The development releases are less tested than the stable releases below, but they include all the latest features and bug fixes.
Cafu Engine 12.05 (May 2012) Release
This is the latest "stable" release of the Cafu Engine. It is older than the above development release, but more exhaustively tested and available from several mirror sites.

This is the May 2012 release of the Cafu Engine ("Cafu 12.05"), available for Windows and Linux. It contains:
- the Cafu Engine live demo executables,
- the Cafu World Editor CaWE,
- all tools to make new worlds for Cafu,
- the DeathMatch example game, and
- all related Lua scripts.

Quick Start
|
Follow these instructions in order to get started quickly:
- Choose and download the package for your platform (Windows or Linux, 32- or 64-bit).
- Program installation is reduced to extracting the downloaded file.
- Double-clicking on Cafu.exe starts the program.
- In the program main menu, click on New Game, then select a map and click Go! to start the game.
- Have fun!
